Application Administrator, Maximo
 
Role Summary:
Provide technical administration and support for corporate software applications to ensure optimal performance in a secured manner.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Under minimal supervision, responsible for technical administration of corporate applications
  • Conduct research and assist Manager with recommendations for system improvements through the proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of solutions
  • Create and maintain thorough documentation related to administrative configurations, procedures and modifications of applicable corporate applications
  • Assist the Application Development team by performing applications testing and application deployments
  • Manage installations, patching and monitoring of development, testing and production application environments
  • Provide Content Management support for the internal and external corporate websites
  • Publish website analytics to key company stakeholders
  • Ensure corporate data is secured in accordance with IT security policies

This position also requires solid knowledge of the following:
  • System administration including configuration, security, procedures and best practices
  • IBM Maximo Mobile App administration including configuration, security, and deployment
  • Solid Knowledge of CMMS workflows and Data Standards
  • Designing and configuring process workflows incorporating, alerts, actions and approvals
  • Implementing custom modifications and configurations into production environments
  • Configuring and maintaining automated data feeds from and to external systems using IBM Maximo  APIs
  • Collaborate and act as Subject Matter Expert on MAXIMO application development, administration, and support using best practices.
  • Establish and deliver MAXIMO training modules from Train-the-Trainer through PM to user-level.
  • Interface with Implementation Provider of system upgrades to ensure currency of application version.
  • Participate in Configuration Control activities and work with managers to coordinate new system requirements and/or configuration changes.
  • Work with users to resolve Maximo application issues.
  • Object based database concepts
  • Maximo Asset Management
  • IBM Maximo (currently on version 7.1.1.8) or comparable enterprise asset and work management system
  • IBM Maximo Integration Framework (MIF) or comparable JMS based integration framework
  • Support of the Change and Release Management processes adhering to the Information
  • Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) concepts and practices
 
ADDENDUM
What are the most important projects, challenges or problems the person will need to address over the course of the first 3/6/12 months?
The rollout of the Maximo system across the company over the next 12 months  

For these projects: What will the person have to do or accomplish in the first few months to be considered a ‘good hire’?
To be the first point of contact for system related issues, smooth training and implementation of the Maximo tool, implement data standards and enhancement pipeline. 

What past accomplishments should the person have had to give you confidence they will do well if hired?
To have been part of a major software implementation, that requires transformational use practices. 

How will the person use the technical skill or abilities on the JOB, and how will you know the person is competent?
Will be accountable for the data management, use and enhancement of the tool as well as develop and provide ad/hoc reports
